Capital Projects Underway

Identified in the City’s twenty-year capital plan are a number of projects which are ongoing, underway or anticipated. The City’s urban local road standard is defined as two 4.25 metre wide travel lanes, for on-street parking and shared bicycle use, complete with mountable curbs and a sidewalk on one side. Keeping these standards up-to-date will promote the safety of pedestrian, cyclist and vehicular traffic.

The following are the capital projects now underway or nearing completion for the next three years.

Moss Avenue upgrade, Hirst Avenue West streetscape and utility project, Memorial Avenue streetscape and utility upgrades project, Pym/Forsyth upgrade, Bagshaw Street Upgrades, Springwood pickleball courts, Parksville Community Park stormwater management master plan and Rathtrevor Trail Development.
