Parksville 2022 Open Budget Meetings

City of Parksville open budget deliberation meetings to discuss the 2022-2026 financial plan are scheduled for March. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, at this time, attendance by the public is limited to forty. Meetings are scheduled as follows:

• Wednesday, March 2 at 1 pm
• Wednesday, March 23 at 6 pm
• Wednesday, March 30 at 6 pm

Public input into the budget is an important part of the financial planning process. Here are the ways residents may engage in the budget process:

• Submit comments by email to council@parksville.ca.
• Comments to be considered by Council during the meetings, emailed comments should be received by 4 pm on the day before the meeting (March 1, March 22 and March 29).
• Budget deliberation meetings may be viewed live through webstreaming from the City’s website and archived for viewing at another time.
• Comments, questions and ideas may be posted to the City’s online engagement site, Let’s Talk Parksville.
• Participate in our online survey. Results will assist Council to better understand where funds should be spent in 2022. Survey is open until February 28 and may be accessed from the City’s website.
