Since 1966, Oceanside Music Association has served as a cultural heartbeat for Vancouver Island, and this year, the registered non-profit society celebrates its landmark 60th Anniversary. 

Currently boasting seven diverse ensembles—including three concert bands, a big band and three choral groups. OMA is marking its diamond jubilee with a vibrant concert season at Knox United Church, local night markets, in-kind community performances, and the Parksville Canada Day Parade and opening ceremony. This milestone year also signals a bold new chapter: The Association recently moved to its new home at Arbutus Grove Church and is expanding its legacy to the next generation with the September launch of a Youth Beginner Strings Music Group and a Youth Beginner Concert Band.
