CONCEPTUAL CONFIGURATION

• Large space for community use and rentals.
• Flexible space for children's school-aged  programs and community programs.
• Dedicated space for BGC childcare programs aged birth to five years.
• Dedicated space for an enhanced emergency support services area operated by Emergency Management Oceanside.

COMMUNITY USE AREAS

• Continued use of kitchen by School District No. 69 Qualicum.
• Rental availability for auditorium, stage, dressing room, and backstage washroom.
• Use of existing male, female and accessible washrooms.
• Use of café/bar area.

OUT-OF-SCHOOL CARE AREAS

• Build new playground area.
• Use auditorium for activities.
• Create ‘teen hangout’ area and storage spaces.
• Construct new washrooms.
• Use existing kitchen space.
• Reconstruct café area.

PRE-SCHOOL CARE AREAS

• Build new outdoor play area and fruit/vegetable garden plots.
• Construct a dedicated nap room and washroom.
• Retain existing fireplace for story times.
• Renovate meeting room as safe and engaging space for children aged 30 months to five years.

PRE-SCHOOL CARE AREAS

• Build new outdoor play area.
• Create mudroom and cubbies in entryway.
• Construct a dedicated nap room, washroom, and diaper changing area.
• Renovate meeting room to safe and engaging space for children, birth to three.

ADMINISTRATION AREAS

• Reception area as staff workspace.
• Convert one dressing room and washroom to staff break area and laundry/washroom.
• Use existing janitor’s closet and electrical room.
• Use existing storage areas.

EMERGENCY SUPPORT SERVICES AREA
