    Hi there - the election on October 24 was for the provincial candidates and not the local/municipal election.

  • What are each current Councillor and Candidates to those positions, as well as the Candidate(s) for the Mayoral position's stance on the proposed development of 134 units on Stanford Avenue, Parksville?

    Hi there,

    Based on a report from the July 20 Council meeting, the follow-up report states: Since the application was originally presented to Council, the area proposed to be rezoned to Residential High Density RHD-4 has been slightly reduced from 1.17 hectare (2.89 acre) to 0.919 hectares (2.27 acres) with the proposed number of apartment units being modestly increased from 123 to 134 units.

    You would have to contact each councillor and candidate for them to share their opinions on this proposed development. Alternatively, you can watch the July 20 and September 7 Council meetings to hear the discussion and the current Council's respective stances. Hope that helps!
